A mandarin under the Lê, on the anti-Mạc side. A refugee in Hương Sơn, he founded the lineage there. He died at 93; his giỗ, on the 9th day of the 1st lunar month, is the clan's great annual gathering. His tomb plaque names him “Sơ Tổ Đinh Phúc Diên, Tả Hiệu Điểm, Marquis Công Tây”: it settles the doubt this entry carried, since a list in the 2023 book seemed to give the marquisate to his brother Phúc Tiên.

Eldest son of Doctor Đinh Nho Công, awarded hương cống (cử nhân) at 18. He stayed at Hương Sơn as clan head of the 8th generation and founded the senior branch (chi trưởng). His contemporaries compared him to an immortal. Buried at Áng Phần with his principal wife Đặng Thị Giản; his giỗ falls on the 15th day of the 2nd lunar month, per his tomb plaque.

Governor (Đốc trấn) of Cao Bằng, then Thượng Bảo Tự khanh and deputy ambassador (Phó sứ) of the mission to Qing China; he died on the road, outside Yên Kinh (Peking), and was posthumously promoted Vice-Minister of Rites (Tả Thị lang bộ Lễ). A poet under the name Mặc Trai; deified as « Đắc Đạt Đại Vương ».

Giải nguyên (first of the regional session), magistrate of La Sơn, đốc lĩnh then tổng binh, titled Marquis Hương Nghĩa. He settled at Thanh Chương (Nghệ An), where he founded the Thanh Liên branch; he is honoured as a Phúc thần at the đền Gôi Vị.

A doctor of the extended Đinh house, he joined King Hàm Nghi's Cần Vương resistance. Captured by the French, sentenced to death and to the extermination of three lineages, he was beheaded on 28 November 1887. His younger brother Đinh Văn Uyển was the teacher of Phan Bội Châu.

Awarded the doctorate at the Ất Hợi session (1875). Magistrate of Nghĩa Hưng, Hồng lô Tự khanh, biện lý at the Ministry of Justice and compiler at the Quốc sử quán, at Huế under Tự Đức. An uncompromising patriot, he let himself die after the protectorate treaties of 1883-1884.

A tú tài known as “cụ Hàn Cống”, from the village of Mỹ Hoà (today thôn Trung Mỹ, xã An Hoà Thịnh, Hương Sơn). Selected by examination under the reign of Duy Tân, he was charged by the Huế court with compiling a comparative materia medica of Chinese and Vietnamese remedies — and given five to six months to finish it; he wrote its preface on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the first year of Khải Định. “Trung Việt dược tính hợp biên” (中越藥性合編) runs to sixteen quyển in chữ Nho, held at the Hán Nôm Research Institute under shelfmark A.2702/1 to /16; volume eight still bears the stamp of the École française d'Extrême-Orient library. He was assisted by a retired ngự y of the Thái y viện, the cử nhân Phan Văn Mễ, and his work validated by the Hàn lâm viện. Fifteenth generation, senior branch (chi trưởng); son of Đinh Nho Thiếp. Anniversary on the 26th of the ninth lunar month.

Youngest son of the martyr Đinh Văn Chất, he escaped the massacre as a child and went into exile in China (Fujian). Back in 1898, he earned the second-rank doctorate (Hoàng giáp) in 1913 — the branch's fourth generation of laureates. Father of the Venerable Thích Minh Châu.

Professor, Doctor of Science and People's Teacher, formerly of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Vietnam's leading scientist in non-ferrous metallurgy: a tin-refining patent born of fieldwork at the Tĩnh Túc mine (Cao Bằng) in the late 1960s, then — in retirement, while rinsing lab glassware with an aluminium spoon — a new bismuth-refining method, patented in 2015. A poet, he was admitted to the Vietnam Writers' Association at 69 — at the Văn Miếu itself, where the doctoral stelae bear the names of his ancestors Đinh Nho Công and Đinh Nho Hoàn.

Founding teacher of the elite maths–physics streams
Born by the Ngàn Phố river in Sơn Hòa (Hương Sơn), he graduated in physics from the Vinh Teachers' College (1972), where he was kept on to teach, until an obscure local report cancelled his doctoral studies in Germany in 1980. Back home teaching at the Lê Hữu Trác high school, he joined the Hà Tĩnh school for gifted students in October 1991 — past fifty, arriving through the floods — and founded its streams of excellence in mathematics and physics (now Trường THPT Chuyên Hà Tĩnh). Taken by cancer on 13 June 2004, he still kept in his pocket the list of his eight national-prize students; the school's annals honour him under the title “Teacher Đinh Nho Kiểu — he who remains in our memories”.

Revolutionary, martyr (liệt sĩ)
From the village of Gôi Mỹ, junior branch. A militant alongside Ngô Quảng, arrested at Vinh on the night of 31 August 1924 and deported to the Côn Đảo penal colony, where he kept his revolutionary integrity intact and composed a long poem handed to his wife during a visit. He never returned: he died at the penal colony, and the lineage counts him among its liệt sĩ.
